The nearest airport to Bir is Gaggal Airport in Dharamshala, located 70 km away. For a budget-friendly and convenient travel option, you can take an overnight HRTC Volvo bus from Delhi (Kashmere Gate) to Upper Bir. Tickets can be booked online at www.hrtchp.com/hrtctickets.   Another scenic but longer route is the toy train from Pathankot to Ahju, just 3 km from Bir. While the journey may be a bit slow and uncomfortable, it offers stunning views along the way, making it a unique travel experience.
