A strengthen trek to Chamba over the Indrahar pass of Dhauladhar ranges and feel the heights of the mountain

Indrahar Pass is a mountain pass in the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas. Located at 32°17.852′N 76°22.872E and an altitude of 4,342 metres above mean sea level, near the tourist town of Dharamshala.

Day 1 : Mcleodganj (1768mt) to Triund (2975mt) -9km.
Mcleodganj to Triund is approx. 9 k.m. gradual trek which press through Dharamkot and Galu Devi temple. The trek from Dal Lake, Dharamkot Bhagsu village meet at a rildge known as Galu Devi temple (2130 mt). There is a small forest bungalow at Triund and this place is a famous spot for bird watchers. The trek offers you panoramic views of Bhagsu village, Mcleodganj, Dharamsala, Kangra valley with distant views of shivalik hills and plains of punjab. Overnight at camp at Triund.

Day 2 : Triund (2975mt) to Lahesh cave (3500mt) - 6km
This is a beaten trek frequented by shepherds trekkers and local people. The trek climbs up to the left of the Triund rest house along a slippery and rocky path thorough oak and tosh trees. Ilaka got (3350) is below Indrahara pass. There are few shepherds’ huts at this place and a big glacier about 1 k.m. from Ilaka got towards Indrahara pass. After little climbing there is cave where seven to ten people can sleep easily. This camping place makes next day easier towards Indrahara pass.

Day 3 : Lahesh cave (3500mt) to Chhata Parao (3700mt) - 9 km.
The trek to the pass is long and goes over soft snow and a number of icy streams covered with soft and hard snow. The mountain ridges are free of snow during July, August, September and October. Indrahara pass is access accessible from May till November subject to snow conditions. During the summer month needs proper climbing equipment.

There is magnificent view of the Kangra and chamba valleys and a distant view of Himalaya. From Indrahara pass trek leads down towards Chhatta Parao overnight stay at Chhatta Parao.

Day 4 : Chhata Parao to Kwarsi  (2730 mt) - l4km
Passing through glacier with steep and narrow trek descend to Chhatta, which is 6km. to Kwarsi Village. After reaching this beautiful Kwarsi village surrounded by different trees and green fields. Overnight stay at Kwarsi village.

Day 5 : Kwarsi to Lamu and Choli village - 12 km
Before leaving Kwarsi visit to Shiva temple, descend to village Lamu. At some spots the trek is narrow. Choli is a village just a km from Kwarsi which is our last destination of trekking. The village has the connective road to Chamba district (50km) and Bharmour (14km).

Day 6 : Choli village to Chamba and Back To Mcleodganj - By Bus/ Taxi
This will be the last day of the Tour. Early in the morning after having breakfast the group will leave for Bus Station. And get bus back to Mcleodganj. You can also hire taxi on Extra Fare.
